Simona Čeh Savski is a Senior Legal Consultant and Data Protection Officer at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, where she leads the policy area of Energy, Transport and Mobility.
Simona has participated in numerous studies for DG ENER, DG GROW, DG EMPL, DG JUST and DG CONNECT, in the role of legal expert, legal data analyst and (deputy) study coordinator. She is currently managing several projects for DG ENER, such as the Study on ‘”Legal assistance to check Member States’ transposition of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 on the promotion of use of energy from renewable sources’; the “Assistance with the verification of compliance of national legislative measures implementing Directive (EU) 2018/2002 on energy efficiency and Directive (EU) 2018/844 on the energy performance of buildings”; and the “Compendium of EURATOM relevant CJEU cases”.
Simona obtained a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in law from the European Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Moreover, she is a Certified Data Protection Officer, having successfully completed the ECPC-B Professional DPO Certification from the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity at Maastricht University in 2022.
Prior to joining Spark, Simona gained working experience in various law firms in Slovenia. In addition, she was part of the International Legal Research Group on Renewable Energy and successfully completed the Jean Monnet Module on the subject of “CJEU’s Argumentation to Impact Slovene Courts’ Reasoning”.
Her mother tongue is Slovene, she speaks English and has a good command of French, German and Italian.
