New Study on Open Banking and Open Finance Initiatives

The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has been heavily involved in the development and regulation of Open Banking and Open Finance initiatives, which aim to increase consumer choice, improve competition, and promote innovation in the financial services sector.

In that context, the FCA is gathering evidence to promote the development and take-up of Open Banking for payments, and to develop a future roadmap for Open Finance.

We’re excited to announce that Spark is part of the consortium, alongside Europe Economics, that will be assisting the FCA, by providing fundamental research in the targeted areas, that will help move to an ecosystem which is economically sustainable, safe and innovative. To that end, Spark will be providing input on data protection concerns associated with Open Banking and Open Finance.
