EU minimum harmonised training for midwives – time for an update?
Spark Legal and Policy Consulting is happy to announce the organisation of a workshop on the technical and scientific advancements affecting the profession of midwives.
This workshop will provide an opportunity to discuss and further develop the preliminary findings of the ongoing study, “Mapping and Assessment of Developments for sectoral professions under Directive 2005/36/EC – Midwife” currently being carried out by Spark under the assignment of the European Commission (DG GROW). The study examines whether certain training requirements, harmonised at EU level under Directive 2005/36/EC, should be amended to reflect scientific and technical progress.
The workshop will take place in Brussels on 22 October 2024 from 10:00 to 16:00 (CEST) and will be live-streamed. Stakeholders are invited to send comments and suggestions regarding the study to info@sparklegalpolicy.eu (no later than 8 November).
Here you can find the Workshop Agenda and Discussion Paper. Moreover, the link to watch the live-stream can be found here.
