Elena Vinciguerra is a Junior Legal Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the team in 2024. She is part of the Justice and Home Affairs area.

In this area, Elena is involved in the ‘Study to support the preparation of an implementing act on taxonomy for structured and machine-readable company data’. She is also managing the legal task pertaining to the ‘Study on discrimination on the grounds of age in the EU’. In other areas, she has contributed to projects for DG GROW, DG ENER, and the private sector.

Elena graduated from the University of Genova in 2024, with a thesis on EU competition law and patent law, about anticompetitive patent strategies in the pharmaceutical industry. She obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2023.

During her studies, she worked as an Intern at the International Trademark Association, researching policy trademark issues. She also attended a working session of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.

Elena is a native Italian speaker, is fluent in English, and has a good command of French.
