Elena Vinciguerra is a Legal Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the team in 2024. She is part of the Justice and Home Affairs area.
In this area, Elena is managing the legal tasks pertaining to the DG JUST ‘Study to support the preparation of an implementing act on taxonomy for structured and machine-readable company data’. She is also currently working on a study on trafficking in human beings in the online space. Previously, she contributed to the DG JUST ‘Study to support the Impact Assessment for the Revision of the Eurojust Regulation’ as well as to the DG JUST ‘Study on discrimination on the grounds of age in the EU’. In other areas, she has contributed to projects for DG CNECT, DG GROW, DG ENER, and the private sector.
Elena graduated from the University of Genova in 2024, with a thesis on EU competition law and patent law, about anticompetitive patent strategies in the pharmaceutical industry. She obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology Law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2023.
During her studies, she worked as an Intern at the International Trademark Association, researching policy trademark issues. She also attended a working session of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.
Elena is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English and French.
